Hi Product Hunt, I'm Son. I make small, single-purpose apps under the name usefulisms. I built Global Overlap because I kept doing timezone arithmetic in my head and getting it slightly wrong. When you work with people in a few countries, the question is rarely what time it is somewhere. It is which hours you are all actually at work. So Overlap stacks everyone's working hours on one timeline and lights up the hours where they overlap. Drag to any hour and you see the local time in each place. When you find a slot, send it to Google Calendar, Outlook, Teams or Google Meet, or download an .ics, already filled in for every participant. Every city carries its IANA timezone, so daylight saving is handled for you. That is relevant this month: Europe changes its clocks on October 25 and the US on November 1, so for one week London and New York are four hours apart instead of five. It runs in the browser, or as a menu-bar app on macOS 11 and later. No account, no backend, no tracking, nothing uploaded. It is free. What would you want it to do that it does not yet? I am particularly curious how you handle colleagues who keep unusual hours.
