Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mayank, the solo dev behind Glitch. Honestly, this thing started out of frustration. I'd be watching a lecture on one site, an anime on another, a podcast video on a third — and every single player had different controls, missing features, weird audio, no way to slow things down without the chipmunk effect, no EQ, no way to bookmark a moment, no PiP that actually worked. I'd install five different extensions, each with their own quirks, and it still wasn't enough. So I started building the toolbar I wished existed. One that sits on top of any video on any site and gives you the controls a power user actually wants — speed with pitch correction, a real 5-band EQ, cinematic filters, smart skip for sponsors and silences, frame-by-frame nav, screenshots, bookmarks with notes, a draggable mini player, even a karaoke mode and an audio visualizer because… why not. A few things I want to be upfront about: It's free forever. The features I built first — speed, filters, bookmarks, screenshots, share-with-timestamp — are free and will stay free. Pro exists for the heavier stuff (boost beyond 100%, EQ presets, karaoke, visualizer, auto-skip), but the core experience doesn't get crippled. I hate that pattern. No account required. Install and it just works. No tracking. Everything runs locally in your browser. This is the first thing I've ever launched on Product Hunt and I'm a little nervous. I'd love feedback — especially the "this is broken on [weird site]" kind. I read every comment today and will be shipping fixes live. If you find a feature you love, the kindest thing you can do is tell me which one. It tells me what to double down on. Thanks for taking a look 🙏 — Mayank

Who hunted Glitch?

Glitch was hunted by Mayank Kumar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
