GigXchange

Peer-to-Peer Live-Music Booking Exchange

GigXchange is the UK marketplace for live music booking. Artists, venues, promoters and agents find each other, agree a gig and pay in one place, with the deposit held safely until the show is done. No agency gatekeepers, no pay to play visibility. Search profiles, open mics and gigs across the country, then book with confidence. Built by a working guitarist who got tired of chasing venues through DMs and bank transfers.

Hello Product Hunt! I'm Naumaan. I've been playing guitar since 2009, covers, originals, writing and producing, and GigXchange came straight out of the frustration of trying to actually get booked. Live music booking in the UK has not changed in decades. You chase venues through Instagram DMs, haggle over a fee in a WhatsApp group, and send a deposit by bank transfer with nothing but a handshake behind it. If you do not already know the right promoter, you are basically invisible. I got tired of waiting for someone else to fix it, so I built it. GigXchange puts the whole thing in one place. Artists, venues, promoters and agents find each other, agree the gig, and pay through escrow so the deposit sits safely until the show is done. Who gets discovered comes down to a real, complete profile and genuine activity, not who you know or who paid for visibility. The build changed a lot along the way. It started as a simple directory, but it was quickly obvious that without payments and a proper booking flow it was just another listings site. So escrow, messaging and the booking thread became the core, and everything else grew around them. I also kept cutting anything that started to feel like a gatekeeper. It is early and there is loads still to build, so I would genuinely love your feedback, especially from anyone who books or plays live. What would make you use this instead of a DM?
