Giftsy
Share clothes. AI counts the carbon you save.
Have clothes you don't wear? Share them. Upload a photo and AI fills in the listing and calculates the carbon that item saves by not being made again. People request it by sharing their story, you choose who receives it, and each person pays only shipping. Your profile keeps a running total of the carbon you've avoided. Not resale — sharing, measured. Because the most sustainable garment is the one that already exists.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Cindy, founder of Giftsy.
Giftsy started as a simple idea: an online place for second-hand clothes to find new homes. What changed it for me was realizing every item already carries the carbon from being made. Producing clothing has become fast and cheap, but the Earth needs space and time to heal, and an item we don't have to produce again is the simplest way to give it that.
Sharing is the key, so we made it measurable. Upload a photo and AI fills in the listing and calculates the carbon that item saves by not being produced again. Your profile keeps a running total of what you've avoided.
Giftsy isn't a resale marketplace. You list what you no longer wear, people request it by sharing their story, and you choose who receives it. Each person pays only shipping. The story turns out to be the part people remember — a garment ends up connecting two people who would never have met.
It took almost 10 years to get here, through more failed builds and tears than I can count. Seeing it live still doesn't feel real.
I'd love your honest feedback. And a real thank you to the early users who are making Giftsy better, faster, and smoother every week.

Who hunted Giftsy?
Giftsy was hunted by Cindy Lee. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
