I built Ghostcut because I kept needing to strip backgrounds from photos for small projects and didn't want to pay for remove.bg credits or fight with Photoshop's selection tools for a two-minute task.
It runs entirely in the browser, uses an open-source AI model under the hood, and doesn't store your images anywhere. Would love feedback, especially on edge cases where the background removal struggles (busy backgrounds, fine hair, etc.) — that's the hardest part to get right and I'm actively improving it.
