The checker answers one question: is this posting still up on the company's own site? It does not read LinkedIn or Indeed pages. It reads the employer's careers system, the same one the recruiter uses. A Workday, Lever or Breezy link needs the company and the title typed in; a LinkedIn share link fills both for you.
An old posting is not proof of a fake one. Some roles are always open. That is why we show dates, not verdicts about the employer.
