I built GetCVAI because I hated rewriting my CV. Applying for engineering jobs in Switzerland and Germany meant reshuffling the same experience for every posting, over and over, and then losing track of what I'd actually sent where.
GetCVAI keeps ONE master profile — you upload your existing CV and it fills the profile in. Paste a job posting and you get back a tailored CV, a cover letter, an ATS-ready PDF and a shareable web version with a view counter. Every application lands in a tracker with its status, its keywords and a fit score.
Three things I did on purpose:
1. No subscription. Job hunting is temporary; your CV tool shouldn't bill you forever. It's one payment — $15.99 for a year — and the free tier gives you unlimited tracking for three months plus a full tailored CV, watermark-free, to see whether it's for you.
2. An honesty pass. A second model reads the cover letter against your actual profile and flags every sentence that claims more than you can back. You accept or reject each one. Most AI CV tools optimise for sounding impressive — this one asks whether you could defend it in the interview.
3. It talks to your assistant. There's an MCP connector (mcp.getcvai.com/mcp, 9 tools), so Claude or any MCP client can track a job you're looking at, update its status and generate the tailored CV without you opening the app. Setup guide: getcvai.com/learn/connect-claude
Stack, since PH asks: FastAPI + Postgres + Celery + React, with every LLM call going through a self-hosted open-source gateway I wrote (github.com/vahid8/llm-gateway) that handles provider routing, fallbacks and cost caps.
