Geotagging Image
Add GPS to photos free, in your browser. No upload
Free online geotagger that runs entirely in your browser. Add GPS coordinates to photos by clicking a map or searching an address no upload, no signup. Your photos never leave your device (open the network tab and check). Also: bulk geotagging for whole shoots, geotag from a GPX track, EXIF viewer, metadata remover for privacy, and a KML⇄GPX converter. Powered by ExifTool compiled to WebAssembly. JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF. 16 languages.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built Geotagging Image because every "free online geotagger" I tried wanted me to upload my photos to their server. Which is backwards the most common reason to touch photo metadata is privacy. Sending your photos (with their exact GPS coordinates) to a stranger's server to manage that never made sense to me.
So everything here runs in your browser: ExifTool the same standard photographers have trusted for 20 years compiled to WebAssembly. Drop a photo, click a spot on the map, download it tagged. You can verify nothing uploads by watching the network tab, or by going offline mid-use: it keeps working.
What it does:
• Add GPS to any photo (click a map, search an address, or paste coordinates)
• Bulk-tag a whole shoot to one location, or match photos to a GPX track by timestamp
• View everything a photo's EXIF reveals and strip it before you share
• Bonus tools: KML⇄GPX converter, sample geotagged photos for testing pipelines
Free for single photos, no signup. Would love to hear what's missing especially from photographers, drone pilots, and local-SEO folks
