Genosyn
Open-source company OS where AI employees do real work
An open-source, self-hosted OS for running a company with AI employees alongside your team. Every employee has a Soul (its constitution), Skills (playbooks), and Routines (scheduled work) — all plain markdown you can read, edit and version. They work where your team works: channels, tasks, docs, tables, CRM and double-entry books. Sensitive actions pause for human approval, and every run leaves a record of what changed. MIT licensed. Bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI or self-hosted model.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
Genosyn is an open-source company operating system where AI Employees work alongside your team — not in a separate automation layer, but in the same workspace, on the same records.
Most "AI agent" tools stop at a chat box: you get a good answer, and you're still the one moving the work between tabs. Genosyn puts the work itself in one place — channels and DMs, a task board, docs, tables, a CRM, invoices and double-entry books — and gives AI Employees a governed way to act on it.
Every employee has three things, all plain markdown you can read, edit and version:
• Soul — who it is, how it works, and what it will refuse
• Skills — playbooks for its job
• Routines — work on a schedule, e.g. "every morning at 8, sync the CRM and post a summary to #sales"
It wakes up, does the job, and reports what it shipped. Every run is logged, and sensitive actions pause for a human to approve.
Open source (MIT) and self-hosted, so your data stays on your machine. Bring your own model — Anthropic, OpenAI, or any OpenAI-compatible / self-hosted endpoint.
Install with Docker:
curl -fsSL https://genosyn.com/install.sh | bash
It's early, and some parts are AI-generated — no warranty, use at your own risk. I'd love to hear where it breaks, and which employee you'd hire first.
Happy to answer anything in the comments!

Who hunted Genosyn?
Genosyn was hunted by Simon Larsen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
