I built Garden Guru for my wife. She didn't need another app that
identifies plants — she knows what she planted. She wanted to know
what to do, and when, for each one.
Here's the difference. Catmint 'Walker's Low' wants to be sheared back
by about half in late June — that's what triggers a second flush of
blooms. No generic "water weekly, feed in spring" will ever tell you
that. It depends on the exact variety, and on your frost dates.
So Garden Guru writes a year of care for each plant, tuned to the
variety you planted and the zone you're in — which it works out from
your city, so you never have to know it.
