Hi Product Hunt, I'm Tanmay, a CS student in Bengaluru.
I built GameGuide because every time I got stuck in a game, I ran into one of two problems: a guide that was out of date after the latest patch, or a search result that spoiled the story before I'd even read the answer.
So I made a guide you can talk to. You tell it how far you've got once (for example, "I just beat Margit in Elden Ring"), and from then on it keeps anything past that point out of its answers.
Here's what it can do today:
- Spoiler Shield: answers stay within your progress
- Missables: shows what you could lose permanently from where you are
- Live research: pulls from wikis, patch notes and the web, and cites its sources
- Screenshots: upload up to three and ask what you're looking at
- Deals: finds the best current price across stores
- Discord bot: use /ask in your server and get patch note summaries
- Stealth mode: chats that aren't logged or saved
The web app is free and needs no login, and you can install it on your phone as a PWA.
