To my hunters: I'm Jeremy and I used to run a small real estate photography company in Philadelphia. I used Pic-Time to deliver my end-product to my clients because of its beautiful and simple galleries. This eventually grew into almost 3000 galleries. After closing up shop I wanted to download the catalog as something to reflect my multiple years of hard work. That's when I hit the wall: Pic-Time only lets you manually download one gallery at a time. Doing this by hand would have been impossible. I was stuck paying year-after-year for a service I was no longer using under the threat of having years of my life deleted if I canceled my subscription. So I built Gallery Grab to do it for me. It's a small desktop app for Windows and macOS that allows you to sign into your own Pic-Time account and then kickstarts downloads of every gallery in one pass while you go do something else. You log in yourself in a normal browser window, so the app never sees or stores your password. It just handles the clicking. It started as a tool for me, but other photographers I mentioned it to have had the same backup-or-migration headache, so I cleaned it up and shipped it. A few honest notes: It is an independent tool, not affiliated with Pic-Time in any way. It only works on the galleries in your own account. There is a free trial, five galleries with no credit card, so you can confirm it works on your account before paying. It is most useful if you are backing up a big archive, migrating off Pic-Time, or moving to a new computer. I realize the amount of folks on Product Hunt that are also Pic-Time gallery customers is small to non-existent. Still, I would love feedback from anyone who has wrestled with getting their work off of any gallery platform. Or anyone that's curious about building an approach for interacting with web services like this. What would make this more useful for your workflow? Happy to answer anything.
