FusePlan

A free browser tool for planning electrical sub-distribution

FusePlan is a browser-based planner for electrical sub-distribution boards (Unterverteilung). You drag real circuit breakers, RCDs and surge protection modules onto a DIN rail, and the layout tracks the actual module widths and the used TE (Teilungseinheiten) per row, so what fits on screen fits in the real enclosure. Once the board is full, FusePlan turns it into a parts list with exact quantities, ready to check against an order or an electrician's quote.

Hey, I'm Christoph, the person behind FusePlan. I built it because planning a home sub-distribution board on paper or in a spreadsheet means guessing whether a row of breakers actually fits, and I wanted an answer before buying anything. FusePlan drags real DIN-rail hardware (Hager, ABB, Schneider) onto a rail at its actual width, so if it fits on screen it fits in the enclosure. From there it builds a parts list, an auto-generated wiring schematic, and printable label strips for the panel door. It's free, runs entirely in the browser, and doesn't ask for an account or track anything. The only way it makes money is Amazon affiliate links on the parts list, so there's no premium tier waiting behind a paywall. It's still early beta. Some things, like buying the parts list directly, are still being built, and I'd rather ship it and hear what's missing than keep it private until it's "done." If you plan or wire panels yourself, or you're just curious how a browser tool handles DIN-rail math, I'd love to hear what you think. Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Who hunted FusePlan?

FusePlan was hunted by Christoph Dieck. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
