I’m a solo dev who enjoys trivia apps and wanted to try something a little different. I wanted a quick daily gauntlet to test my knowledge and learn something new - without being forced to watch a 30-second ad for a crypto wallet. So, I built Fruitly.
As a newer solo dev doing this on the side was a serious challenge. It started as a scrappy hobby project to get my hands dirty with Jetpack Compose and test the limits of assisted coding. Somewhere along the line, it turned into a game that I actually look forward to playing every day.
It’s a clean, natively built daily trivia gauntlet for Android only (at least for now). The questions err on the unusual, can sometimes be a bit brutal, but you will never be bored. The app entirely respects your time. You play your daily 3 attempts, get a quick reality check on your general knowledge, that quick dopamine hit, and move on with your day.
I’m excited to share this with you all and I’d love your honest, unvarnished feedback. Tear apart the UI, let me know if the difficulty curve is absurd, or point out a botanical inaccuracy so I can fix it - or so we can argue about it in the replies.
