Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Maker here. If you've ever built anything in logistics, you know the pain: a shipment shows up as "plastic resin pellets, 5 drums" and somewhere downstream a human has to figure out the right NMFC code and freight class before it can be rated or booked. Today that's still done by people flipping through classification tables, or by carrier portals that each speak their own dialect. It's slow, it's error-prone, and a wrong class means a reweigh-and-reclass bill later. I built FreightAPIs to make that a single API call. What it does: * 🚚 Free carrier location data — terminals, service points and coverage for 10+ carriers (ABF, Estes, Saia, TForce, SEKO, GLS, USPS and more), plus a global seaport dataset (~4,400 ports). Open to every plan, free included — meant as your way in. * ⚡ Built entirely on Cloudflare Workers (D1/KV/R2/Queues), so it's fast at the edge and there's no infra for you to babysit. Why I think it's different: most "freight class" tooling is locked inside a TMS you have to adopt wholesale. This is just a clean JSON API you can drop into your own stack — a TMS, a broker automation, a 3PL tool, an AI agent that quotes freight. One of my paying users is a logistics-AI company running NMFC classification in production today, which is what convinced me this belonged as a standalone API. The model is simple: the website search is free for humans (great for a quick lookup), the API is metered for machines. Free tier to try it, then $49/$99 plans as you scale. I'd genuinely love feedback from anyone who's touched freight, or LTL rating — what's still painful, what's missing, what carrier or dataset you'd want next. I'm in the comments all day. 🙏 — Matt
