So I built FREGONATOR: free, open source (MIT), 0.4 MB, no telemetry, no paid version ever. Grandpa-proof: one button, no account, no commands. It promises on the main screen what it never touches: your photos, passwords, programs, registry or browser. v7 adds ULTRA mode that also updates your apps via winget. Made in Galicia.

I built FREGONATOR because I got fed up with cleaner apps full of dark patterns: fake urgency, Pro popups everywhere, browser data wiped without asking. The top comment when it went viral on r/pcmasterrace (285K+ views) said it best: all software is built by someone who got fed up and said, I will do it myself. That is exactly what happened.
The design goal is what we call grandpa-proof (abuelo-proof in Spanish): if you can open a program, you can use it. One button. No account, no commands, nothing to decide. And a promise printed right on the main screen: it never touches anything that matters, not your photos, not your passwords, not your programs, not the registry, not the browser. The fire test: my 6-year-old daughter used it several times without help.
v7 is a full redesign: white, minimal, quiet. Plus an ULTRA mode that also updates all your installed apps via winget while it cleans. And our mascot Eustaquio literally runs along the progress bar.
It is PowerShell, fully open source (MIT), 0.4 MB, no telemetry, and it will never have a paid version.
