We built FreezeAlert because we learned the hard way that Stripe freezes are usually not “random”. They are the result of risk signals building up quietly until it is already too late. In one of our previous businesses, we were doing around $25k/day when Stripe suddenly cut us off. The immediate damage was brutal, but the real cost came from the drop that followed. Between lost processing, disrupted growth, and the time it took to recover, we estimate the downside at roughly $300k. What made it worse was that there was no real early warning layer. You only realize how fragile your payment infrastructure is when it breaks. FreezeAlert came out of that experience. We wanted to build something that helps Stripe-based businesses detect the warning signs earlier: chargeback shifts, refund anomalies, geographic risk patterns, payout-related signals, and other metrics that can quietly push an account toward review, reserve holds, or freezes.
