We built the FreeWWW Note Taking App because capturing ideas should be quick, organized, and private without requiring an account or cloud subscription.
The project began as a simple browser-based notepad. We expanded it with categories, tags, priorities, due dates, pinning, trash recovery, search, filters, flexible sorting, word counts, and bulk actions.
We also added rich-text formatting, checklists, drawings, and ready-to-use templates for meetings, projects, journals, Cornell notes, bug reports, and weekly reviews. Notes can be imported or exported as JSON, HTML, PDF, or printed.
Our goal is to provide a practical note-taking workspace that saves information locally on the user’s device and remains available offline. Which template or organizational feature should we add next?
