Hi everyone, I'm Adam. I made Found Again after I needed some deleted photos back off the SD card from my Fujifilm. The recovery apps I tried all did the same thing: scan the card, show me my photos, then ask for about $90 before saving any of them. That felt like a rotten moment to charge people, so I built my own and made it free. Plug in the card and click Scan. Photos you deleted usually turn up within a few seconds with their original names and dates, and a deeper scan carries on looking for anything else, including on cards that have been formatted. You pick what you want and it copies them to your Mac. It works on USB sticks and external drives too. A couple of things I was strict about. It only ever reads the card, and it never connects to the internet. There's also no limit on what you can save. If it gets your photos back there's a tip button, and that's the only time it mentions money. It's open source (GPL) if you want to see how it works. It needs macOS 14 or later. If you try it on a card and it misses something, I'd love to hear what camera it was from and whether the card had been formatted.
