ForgeCat
Package, share, and install AI Agents across platforms.
ForgeCat makes agent profiles, skills, rules, and MCP configs installable across tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. Instead of rebuilding the same setup for every agent platform, creators can package once and users can search, inspect, and install with one command. npm install -g forgecat
Hi Product Hunt, we built ForgeCat because AI agent setups are becoming hard to share and reuse across tools, teams, and projects.
An agent setup is no longer just some prompts. It now includes instructions, skills, rules, commands, MCP config, hooks, dependencies, and more. Today those pieces are often copied around through GitHub repos, setup docs, or team chat, which makes them hard to inspect, version, install, and maintain across different agent tools.
ForgeCat is a CLI plus AI Agent Hub for managing agent profile packages.
What it does:
Package agents as profiles: bundle an agent with its supporting config, files, skills, rules, MCPs, hooks, etc...
Share profiles: publish public profiles for the community, or keep private profiles for a team or personal workflow.
Cross-platform compatible: install the same profile into supported tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, with platform-specific conversion.
Safety inspection: inspect profile files and review security checks before installing a profile.
Try it:
npm install -g forgecat
forgecat search [profile]
forgecat view [profile]
forgecat install [profile]
The broader goal is to make reusable AI agents feel more like packages: discoverable, inspectable, versioned, and installable into the tools people already use.
Today we support Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. We are also building with OpenClaw, Hermes, and more agent platforms in mind, where ForgeCat can act as the shared package/distribution layer for reusable agents.
Profiles repo:
GitHub - nota-america/forgecat-agent-profiles: Production-ready AI agent profiles for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. Search, install, and contribute ForgeCat packages.
We would love to hear your feedback on ForgeCat!
