Hey,
FootyMatch started from a problem every one of my friend groups has: organizing a pickup football game always turns into chaos. A group chat, half the people saying "maybe," no idea who's actually showing up until it's too late. Sometimes the game just doesn't happen because nobody wants to be the one chasing everyone for an answer.
I wanted something that removes that friction entirely: create a match, set who can see it (friends, your club, or public nearby), and people just join.
Along the way the scope grew a bit: clubs so you can build a regular crew, stats and Man of the Match voting so there's something to look forward to after the game, blocking/reporting for safety since it's public-facing. What started as "just fix the scheduling" turned into a small social layer around actually playing.
This is my first app shipped end-to-end through the full App Store process, including a rejection and resubmission along the way. happy to answer anything about the build or the process. Would love your feedback!
