FocusLock

Smart app lock with schedules, quotas, and Pomodoro

FocusLock is a privacy-first iPhone app that blocks distracting apps with Apple's Screen Time API, not just reminders. It combines scheduled locks, Strict Mode, daily quotas with progressive reduction, a full-screen Pomodoro timer, achievements, and weekly reports. Everything runs offline, collects zero data, supports 14 languages, and reliably re- locks apps when quota time runs out.

Hey Product Hunt! I built FocusLock because most app blockers felt like either weak reminders or bloated, privacy-heavy productivity tools. I wanted something that could actually enforce limits on iPhone, stay fully local, and still feel motivating to use. It started as a simple scheduled app blocker. While building it, I realized focus isn't just one mode: sometimes you need a hard lock, sometimes a daily quota, and sometimes a Pomodoro session that temporarily locks your worst distractions. That led to scheduled locks, Strict Mode, daily quotas with progressive reduction, a full-screen focus timer, achievements, streaks, and weekly reports. One of the hardest parts was reliability. In the latest version, I fixed quota re-locking so apps lock again when time runs out even if FocusLock has been swiped away, by moving that logic to Apple's DeviceActivity framework. Everything runs offline, with zero analytics and zero servers. I'd love feedback on three things: 1. Which matters most to you: schedules, daily quotas, or Pomodoro-linked locks? 2. Do achievements and reports make a blocker more motivating? 3. What would make you trust a focus app enough to keep using it long term?
