I built Focus Cat because I wanted screen time control to feel less like punishment and more like a small promise to yourself. Most blockers are strict, cold, or easy to ignore, so I wanted to make something gentler: focus sessions, earned coins, guarded apps, and a little cat that makes the habit feel alive.
The idea evolved a lot while building. At first it was just about blocking apps, but it became more about helping people pause before opening them, earn their time intentionally, and see their progress without shame. Focus Cat is for anyone who wants a healthier relationship with their phone, one small focus session at a time.
