FlowState QSR
The one restaurant app your whole crew actually opens
Restaurant crews run on group texts, whiteboards, and paper logs. FlowState replaces all of it: station line-ups, scheduling, availability and time off, temperature logs, checklists, and team chat in one app, on the phones your crew already carries. I run two restaurants and built this because I was the software. The weekly meeting lived in a notebook. The goals lived on a whiteboard that got wiped. One flat price per location, every teammate included, English and Spanish throughout.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Connor. I'm not a software founder. I run two quick-service restaurants.
For years I was the software. The weekly meeting lived in a notebook. Goals lived on a whiteboard that got wiped. Shift talk lived in a group text nobody could search. Take a day off and you could see it.
FlowState is that job, as an app. Station line-ups so the whole crew sees the whole shift and not just their own spot, scheduling, availability and time off, temperature logs, checklists, and team chat, on the phones people already carry.
Three things I'd actually like feedback on:
The AI is grounded, not bolted on. Claude gets a live snapshot of the store plus a guide to the app, so "who's behind on temps?" gets a real answer about your restaurant. It's explicitly told never to invent a number or a policy, because a hallucinated hot-hold temperature isn't a bad UX moment, it's a food safety incident.
Offline first. Temp logs, checklists and waste taps keep working with no signal and sync when it returns. Walk-in freezers don't have wifi.
Bilingual throughout, not a toggle sitting on top of a half-translated app. Most crews I've worked with are.
One flat price per store, every teammate included, whether you have 15 or 40.
A question I'd genuinely like answered: what's a tool your team was told to use and just didn't? I want to know whether the reasons are the same outside restaurants.
