Draw the house, or just ask. Free floor plans with AI
Plan a remodel, an ADU or a whole house for free in your browser. Describe it and FloorGen AI builds it, every change an undo step. Then check it against the IRC, walk through it in 3D and print the plan set. Claude and ChatGPT can edit it too.
Hey everyone, Vinit here.
Floor plan tools usually make you pick: easy and rough, or precise and slow. FloorGen tries to be both, and now you can just ask.
1. Draw: feet and inches to 1/16″, live dimensions, 27 templates.
2. Ask: tell FloorGen AI what you want. It proposes a plan, builds it, and checks its own work. Every change can be undone, and it stops to ask before deleting anything.
3. Check: IRC checks as you draw (plus Canada, UK, Germany and Mexico City profiles), and "Fix with AI" on each issue.
4. Walk through: every plan is a furnished 3D model, day or night.
5. Print: elevations and plan sets to scale, as PDF, DXF, SVG or glTF.
For AI folks: Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor connect over MCP (149 tools), and their edits land live in the editor you have open.
Designing needs no account; FloorGen AI and sync need a free sign-in. Everything is free right now. Tell me what breaks and what you'd want next. I'm here all day.

Who hunted FloorGen?
FloorGen was hunted by Vinit Kumar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
