Flippy Notes
Flip any Mac window and write a note on its back
Click the blue dot next to any Mac window and it flips over into a note. Each note remembers the app, the page and a picture of what you were looking at, and it's there again when you flip that window. Private, on your Mac. Free for 25 notes.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Aymane, and I built Flippy Notes. I kept losing the thoughts I had while working: an idea about an article, a question on a PDF, a to-do sparked by a doc. Opening a notes app pulled me out of what I was doing, and later the note made no sense without the page it came from. So I made the window itself the notebook. Click the round dot next to any window's red, yellow and green buttons (or press Control-Shift-Space, or click empty space in the title bar) and the window flips over with a note on its back. Write, flip back, carry on. Each note remembers where it came from: the app, the page or document, and a picture of what you were looking at. Flip the same page again and its notes are right there. Everything also lives in one searchable library. A few things I cared about: • Private by design: your notes and pictures stay on your Mac and are never uploaded. No account needed. • Works with the apps you already use: browsers, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets. • A native Mac app. The flip starts the moment you click. It's free for your first 25 notes, and the Coffee Club (monthly, yearly or lifetime) unlocks unlimited notes. Setup takes about two minutes, because macOS asks you to allow Accessibility and Screen Recording. If you get stuck, flippynotes.com/permissions shows every step. I'd love your feedback. What's the first window you'd flip?
