Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Richard, maker of Flipper. It started with shops in Kigali, Rwanda, where the internet drops in the middle of a sale. Most POS apps either freeze or lose the sale when that happens, so I built one that doesn't need the connection at all: every sale is written to the device first and syncs when the network comes back.
What it does today:
POS + inventory: sell on a phone, tablet or PC; stock moves with every sale, purchase and branch transfer
Accounting that fills itself in: each sale posts a journal entry the moment it happens, so the till and the books always agree
Every platform: iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and web, on one account
Payments: cash, card, and mobile money in Rwanda, plus tax-authority receipts (RRA EBM) there
Open source: the whole Flutter codebase is on GitHub
It's used by 58 businesses across Rwanda, Zambia and Mozambique, and this month we opened signup to every country.
