I'm the son of two police officers, and I've spent 25 years working on financial crime data, mostly on the bank side. The thing that always bothered me is that everything happens after the money moves. The alert fires when it's already gone. You build better and better systems for describing a loss. Consumer scam tools have the same problem in miniature. They wait to be asked. You paste in the text, you get a verdict, and that works. Flggd has done exactly that, free and anonymously, since we launched. But that requires you to take action each time, we had to get ahead of that, to be proactive. Email Scan is the first thing we've built that doesn't wait. It reads your inbox and tells you what's wrong before you open it. It's a paid feature because it costs us real money to run, and I'd rather say that plainly than bury it. Everything else stays free. Checking a message, Scam School, the arcade, all of it, no account needed. We care about every victim of this, and that includes the people forced to run the scripts. A lot of them were trafficked into it. Stopping the money is what stops all of it, and being proactive rather than reactive is how you get there faster. That's why I care what you do with a suspicious text. Not because one message matters much, but because it's the only lever any of us actually has. I'm here all day.
