Five Letter Finder is a fast, browser-based word finder for Wordle, crosswords, Scrabble-style games, and anagrams. It filters 14,855 local English words by exact position, required letters, excluded letters, starts/ends/contains patterns, and available rack letters, with a common-only mode for cleaner results.
Hi Product Hunt! I built Five Letter Finder as a fast little workbench for five-letter word puzzles.
The idea is simple: instead of scrolling through a huge word list, you can layer clues from Wordle or crosswords: exact positions, letters that must appear, letters to exclude, starts/ends/contains patterns, and available letters for anagrams.
Search runs locally against an English word list, so it feels instant and does not depend on a remote solver API. I also added a common-only mode for cleaner Wordle-style results and multilingual explanation pages for people searching in other languages.
Would love feedback from word-game players on which filters or ranking tweaks would make it more useful.
