Hi Product Hunt — I’m Ankit, the maker of Firstlight. Conversations with indie makers kept coming back to the same problem: shipping a product is only the beginning; getting useful feedback without an existing audience is harder. Firstlight is a small experiment in fair discovery. Eligible launches get seven days in a rotating feed, using the same rules for new and established makers. Likes, follower counts, and payment don’t buy a ranking boost. That gives a fair chance to appear, not a promise of views or feedback. Each launch pairs a product story, screenshots or video with one focused testing task. You can browse without an account, comment on a launch, or chat privately with its maker. Publishing goes through review. The beta is free and capped at 33 total account creations, including mine. We’re still building the initial community. Free hosting can make the first visit after inactivity slow. Could you browse a few launches and tell me which one you would actually revisit, and why? If you’re a maker, creating a private draft is optional. I’d especially value feedback on what would make Firstlight worth returning to.
