Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Finsternis to answer something existing eclipse tools make weirdly hard: will I actually see this from where I'm standing, and what will it look like? Global path maps don't tell you that. You drop an observation point anywhere, and it gives you a straight answer — visible or not, % of the Sun covered, precise local start/peak/end — plus the path on a 3D globe you can scrub through time, and a compass "Sky Finder" that points you to the Sun at the moment. Everything is computed on your device from NASA data — no account, no tracking, no ads, fully offline (only place search needs a connection).
