Hi, I'm the maker of FingerBridge.
FingerBridge is for Mac users who want to keep their preferred keyboard and use a separate fingerprint sensor for supported password prompts.
It fills saved passwords in supported lock-screen and administrator password fields. Setup guides you through sensor connection, fingerprint enrollment, Keychain access, macOS permissions and a real unlock test.
Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later, plus the Waveshare UART Fingerprint Sensor (F), SKU 31887. The sensor is sold separately; other fingerprint readers are not supported in this release.
The app is paid software ($9, one Mac per activation). Your saved Mac password is stored in Mac Keychain, and fingerprint templates remain on the sensor. Internet access is required for license activation; activated licenses work offline.
This is password autofill, not Apple Touch ID. It does not replace FileVault startup login, Apple Pay, passkeys or a website password manager. Not every password dialog is supported. The product page includes a walkthrough and a short demo.
