I'm the maker of Find Your Co-author.
From undergrad to my master's and now my PhD, one thing I've found difficult is finding people to do research with.
You might have an idea you'd love to explore, but not know who to talk to. Maybe your project needs someone with a different set of skills, but your existing network is pretty limited. When you're just starting out in academia, it's not always easy to know where to find those people.
I've run into this myself, and it got me thinking: why is finding research collaborators still so hard?
So I started building Find Your Co-author.
The idea is simple: help researchers and students discover potential collaborators, share ideas, and find people with complementary interests and skills.
It's still an early-stage project, and I'm building it with a lot to learn.
If you've ever struggled to find a research collaborator, I'd love to hear how you dealt with it.
And if you're not in academia, that's absolutely fine too! Maybe you're an indie maker, a student in another field, or just someone who enjoys helping people connect. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the idea, what seems useful, or what you think is missing.
