FilePipe: Auto Files Organizer
Automatically sort and move files with smart rules.
FilePipe is a powerful file management tool that turns your chaotic Download and other messy folders into a perfectly organized library β automatically. π Ever wanted all your videos in one folder, regardless of which app downloaded them? Or wished your Downloads folder would just sort itself into Documents, Music, Images, and everything else? That's exactly what FilePipe does. Set a rule, pick a schedule, and let the pipes do the work. Move or copy any media to its rightful place.
Like anyone who downloads a lot of files on Android, my Download/ directory rapidly turns into an absolute wasteland of loose PDFs, unorganized media, random receipts, and scattered APKs. I got sick and tired of manually triaging folders.
I wanted to build a clean, local-first utility that lets power users reclaim their devices. The goal was simple: set up granular automation rules once - matching specific extensions, source paths, or file types - and let the background engine silently, automatically route those files to their correct destinations the second they land.
It started as a basic tool to move files around, but the logic needed to be much tighter for real-world use.
As I built out the features, the focus completely shifted toward giving users granular, exact control over how their files are handled. Instead of just broad, generic categories, I spent my time refining the core rules engine so you can filter by exact file-extension chips (like mp4, pdf, apk, zip), explicitly toggle whether subfolders should be scanned or mirrored to the destination, and catch missing source folder warnings before things break.
The process evolved from a simple folder-watcher into a highly customizable dashboard where you can build, tweak, and run complex organization rules instantly.
