Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Pavel. I wanted to make my photos and videos smaller, but I didn't want to upload them anywhere to do it. Most quick fixes are websites, where you send your family photos to someone else's server and download them back. So I built File Squeeze, a Windows app that does the whole job on your own PC. You drop a whole folder on the window, and it finds every photo and video in all subfolders. If you pick an output folder, it copies the folder structure there. Videos encode on your graphics card: H.264 MP4 on NVIDIA, Intel or AMD, or AV1 MP4 if your GPU supports it. It never touches your originals. Results get a "-squeezed" name. If a file wouldn't get smaller, File Squeeze skips it, and it stops a video encode early when the result is heading past the original size. You can drop the same folder again later. It skips earlier results and videos that are already efficient. In the demo, a 115.5 MB holiday video came out at 6.1 MB (95% smaller). Savings depend on the source, so try it on your own folder. It's a one-time $9.99 in Microsoft Store with a 7-day trial. No account, no subscription. What file types or workflows should it handle next?
