FieldCut
Turn any pile of photos and videos into folders you can use
FieldCut turns any pile of photos and videos into folders you can use. Open a camera card, an old drive, a folder nobody sorted, or a public Google Drive link. Every file from every subfolder lands in one grid, photos and clips together. Keep or drop with one key, name your folders, and sort with a number key. Export lays it all out as real folders on your disk. It runs on your Mac, and your files stay there. Mac app, in early access.
Hi Product Hunt.
We run a small studio that shoots photos and videos for brands. Every job ended the same way: a camera card, a phone dump, an old drive and a Drive link, full of IMG_4821 and final FINAL.jpg, spread across New Folder and New Folder 2.
Finder and Google Drive open one folder at a time. Sorting a pile meant clicking in and out of folders for an hour.
FieldCut opens the whole pile at once. Every subfolder, photos and clips together, on one screen. Make the folders you want, press a number to send files into them, and export. What comes out is plain folders on your disk, nothing to learn and nothing to maintain.
It is a Mac app, in early access. Ask for a key on the site and a person reads every request.
What does your worst pile look like? That is what we want to open next.
