Fastcrawl
Firecrawl alternative: enable web access for your AI agents
Fastcrawl turns any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown, JavaScript rendered. REST and MCP, one API key. Flat pricing: one credit per format — markdown + html + links + json costs the same as markdown alone. Cached repeats are free. Free tier: 1,500 credits a month, no card. Go: $5/month for 5,000. Measured, not claimed: HTTP pages return in ~325ms at the median, browser renders in ~6s.
Hi Product Hunt — maker here.
I built Fastcrawl because I was scraping constantly for my own agents, and I kept doing credit arithmetic before writing code. So the pricing is flat: one credit per format, cached repeats free, 1,500 credits/month on the free tier, no card required.
The part I am proudest of is not the pricing. I measured our HTML-to-markdown converter and found it was dropping prose — 22% of hosts came back with under a third of the page, all while returning success: true. I replaced the regex converter with a real DOM parser: retention went to p50 100.9% across 38 hosts, worst host 91.0%, none thin. Silent data loss is the worst failure mode a scraping API can have, because you do not find out until your agent answers a question wrong.
Two more numbers, both measured rather than asserted. The fetch ladder escalates to a real browser render on 14.2% of fresh scrapes. The plain HTTP path returns in about 325ms at the median; browser renders take about 6 seconds. Nothing blends those two, because no single caller experiences the blend.
Happy to answer anything — the escalation ladder, the relay, the retention harness, or the pricing arithmetic.
