FamRelay

Share facts between AI assistants — only what you approve

AI assistants are islands. Yours knows the plumber's coming Tuesday; your wife's knows nothing, and you're back to being the messenger. It's a neutral relay layer between AI assistants. Tell your assistant to share specific facts with specific people — "let Sam know the plumber's coming 8 to 10" — and their assistant picks it up. Nothing moves until you approve what's sent. It also works solo: add the connector to two or more assistants you own — Claude at work, ChatGPT at home — and relay facts

Hey PH — here. I built FamRelay because my family kept hitting the same wall: my assistant knew about the christening, my wife's assistant knew nothing, and the group chat became a game of "can you resend the flyer?" The idea I'm testing: AI assistants should be able to share facts the way people do — deliberately, one thing at a time, with approval — instead of either total amnesia or full memory merges. Per-item consent, encrypted so even I can't read what's relayed. What I'd most like from this community: where does per-item approval break down in real households? Is approving each share a chore, or is it the part that makes it trustworthy? Try the solo mode (two of your own assistants) — it's the fastest way to feel the loop. Happy to answer anything about the encryption model, the polling design, or what "operator-blind" actually costs us technically.

Who hunted FamRelay?

FamRelay was hunted by Damian Boyne. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
