Fable Design System
Bring Fable-style design taste to any AI coding agent
I was disappointed when Anthropic's Fable experiments disappeared. The website design quality was incredible, and many developers wanted a way to bring that same design taste back to Claude, Opus 4.8, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, and other coding agents. So I rebuilt the principles I loved (stronger typography, spacing, hierarchy, motion, accessibility, and self-critique) and released them as a free MIT-licensed project.
I was genuinely disappointed when Fable disappeared.
It was one of the first times I looked at AI-generated websites and thought, "this actually has design taste."
I spent the weekend rebuilding the design principles I thought made Fable special and released them under MIT so anyone can use them.
My goal isn't to recreate Fable exactly. It's to help Claude, Opus, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, and other coding agents build products that feel crafted instead of generated.
The project is open source, and updates can be pulled automatically via symlinks. I use it daily so I'll continue improving it and adding new design patterns, heuristics, and capabilities over time. If there's something you'd like to see added, leave a comment and I'll do my best to include it in a future update.

Who hunted Fable Design System?
Fable Design System was hunted by Alex Antoniou.
