I'm a backend developer, and this started as a personal annoyance: every quarter I had to manually copy data from PDF invoices into spreadsheets — invoice number, tax ID, VAT, totals — for my own freelance accounting.
So I built a tool that does it automatically. It extracts the data, validates Spanish tax IDs with the real checksum algorithm, checks that VAT math actually adds up, and lets you mark which invoices are already paid before generating a polished Excel report.
A few things I cared about while building this:
- Security: PDFs are validated against embedded JavaScript, hidden files, and structural exploits before processing — nothing gets executed
- Privacy: files are processed in memory and never stored
- No install: works entirely from the browser
It's built specifically for Spanish invoices right now (NIF/CIF format), so it's most useful if you or your clients invoice in Spain. I'd love feedback, especially on invoice formats that don't extract cleanly — that's the fastest way for me to improve it.
