ExplorersMap
A lifetime travel log, down to every region you've been
ExplorersMap is a lifetime travel log that goes deeper than "countries visited": mark the 199 countries, 4,596 regions and 90,000+ places you have been, all on one map. Import a Google Maps Timeline and your map fills itself in, dates included. Every trip lands on a timeline and becomes a downloadable passport. Between trips, play geography games like Homeground, where one city claims its whole region. Badges, levels, leaderboards, 9 languages. Free, no account needed.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Luis, Portuguese born and raised, living in France for over a decade. By day I'm an IT wizard (systems, networks, security, a bit of dev) at an American healthcare software company. By night, I build ExplorersMap. Like a lot of you, I love to travel, and I love maps, in video games and in real life. But keeping track of everywhere I'd been got harder every year. The "countries visited" sites I found never fit my nerdy wants: I wanted more stats, a cleaner look, and something that made me excited to get home after a trip, fill in my map, level up and climb a leaderboard. So I built it. ExplorersMap is a one-stop travel log: every country, region and place you've been, on one map. Along the way I added the things I've always loved: geography games, puzzles, travel guides, and a game I've never seen anywhere else, Homeground, where you name a city and claim the population of its whole region. Try it, it's addictive! A few highlights: A clean, complete travel log, down to the regions and places you've been Stats, badges, levels and leaderboards, with a main menu inspired by Battlefield Homeground and the other games, for the weeks you're not travelling Import your Google Maps Timeline and your map fills itself in In 9 languages What's next: a ranked mode (taking my time to get it right), and making ExplorersMap the place you plan where to go next, not just where you've been. There's even a space mode... so if anyone at NASA is reading, I'm ready to let people claim the Moon. 🚀 It's free and it's just me, so I read every comment. What would make you come back to your travel map between trips?
