Exostor

Cloud storage and secure file sharing for creators

Exostor is cloud storage for creators who need Patreon-authenticated file and folder sharing, tier-based access, revocable links, and unlimited downloads.

Top comment

I built Exostor because creator file delivery still feels like a workaround. Generic cloud storage is great at storing files, but once you start using shared links to deliver member-only content, the link often becomes the permission. Creators end up managing access manually, replacing links, or stitching together multiple tools. Exostor is built around a different idea: store the files once, choose who should have access, and let membership status determine whether a protected share opens. Patreon is our first integration, with more membership platforms planned. The goal is simple: give creators the convenience of normal cloud storage without making them manually manage who should still be able to download their content. I’d especially love feedback from creators who currently use Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar tools to deliver member-only files.

Who hunted Exostor?

Exostor was hunted by Matt McClellan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
