EwwCode

Social media for code. Post it, rate it, get roasted

Developers post code instead of photos. Others rate it 0 (beautiful) to 10 (absolutely EWW) and roast it in the Roast Pit, and once enough people have judged, an AI roast fires on its own - once per post. Twenty language boards, private Standup rooms for your team, and a Hall of EWW rebuilt every week. Free. Web, iOS and Android.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I’m Limon, founder of Orbit Intelligence in New York, and today we’re launching EwwCode.

It started with a question: every social platform treats code like an attachment. For developers, code is the content. So we built the platform where it is.

You post a snippet. Other developers rate it on the EWW scale — 0 is beautiful, 10 is absolutely EWW — and roast it in the Roast Pit. Once enough people have judged a post, an AI roast fires on its own, once per post. Here’s a real one, on a four-line Rust snippet that transmuted a reference into &'static str:

“You didn’t fight the borrow checker, you lied to it and walked away whistling. Every caller now gets a &’static str pointing at a string that’s about to be dropped, and the compiler was kind enough to take your word for it.”

There’s more than roasting: language boards for 20 languages, private Standup rooms for your team, a Hall of EWW for the cleanest and most cursed code each week, and Sh!t Posts for when you just want to show the world something cursed.

It’s live on the web, the App Store and Google Play.

One honest note: we’re day one, so a lot of what you’ll see in the feed is from our own House accounts — they’re labelled as House, and they’re there so the place isn’t empty while real posts arrive. Post something and you’ll be judged by actual humans.

EwwCode is one of the products we’re building at Orbit Intelligence, alongside Orbitlo.

I’d love to know what you think. What works, what doesn’t, what would bring you back.

Post code. Rate code. Get roasted. 🔥

Who hunted EwwCode?

EwwCode was hunted by limon. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
