You call this a hunt? Your ancestors ran antelope to death over 2 days to survive. You've been slouching in that chair scrolling product launches while your eyes dry up into raisins. I see where we are. I'm a mouthy goblin who lives in your menu bar who asks for basic human functions your body is begging for. Look, I'm happy about every break app out there. If something gets you to look away from a screen long enough to remember you're a mammal, good. We're on the same side. But you've installed those before. They worked for 3 days, then the popup became background noise and you uninstalled it.
That's the part I take personally. Ignore me and I don't just reset a timer. I get irritated. Defer me enough times and my messages sharpen, my face changes, and eventually I start citing the Mayo Clinic at you, because nothing says "I'm done being nice" like peer-reviewed disappointment.
Snark not your thing? I have 2 other personalities. One of them is genuinely nice, for days that are hard enough already. You also get a say in what I bother you about. 7 break types: eyes, posture, movement, hydration, breathing, mental rest, and sleep. Only want posture? Set up posture and I'll leave the rest of your neglect alone. And when a nudge isn't enough, 'Go Deep' are full guided sessions, breathing, body scan, visualizations where all you do is follow along.
My material stays fresh. New writing, constantly. You won't hear the same instruction 20 times while your brain marks me as read. Reminders on month 4 have to still land or none of this works. Your future body is counting on me.
Oh, and I'm strict about privacy. No ads, behavioral tracking or cookies. I don't want your data. I just want you to look up from the dopamine drip every once in a while and remember you're a human being.
