Every product stores user data. Very few products know exactly where that data lives, who has access to it, whether consent exists, or how to delete it when someone asks. Over time, those questions become harder to answer. New services get added. Data gets copied. Teams change. The product grows faster than the systems around privacy. I started building Erasure after realizing that every company ends up solving the same problems from scratch. Consent management, data mapping, deletion workflows, audit trails. They're important, but they're rarely the reason a company exists. Erasure is my attempt to make those problems disappear into infrastructure. Today is our first public beta. There's still plenty to build, and that's exactly why I wanted to launch early. I'd much rather shape Erasure with feedback from people who actually build products than spend months guessing.
