I'm excited to introduce **Empire of Vice**, a free open-world crime game set in a fictional 1980s Miami-inspired city. 🌴
I wanted to create a game that brings back the feeling of classic arcade-style open-world crime games: neon lights, palm trees, fast cars, police chases, and the freedom to build your own criminal empire.
You start with just $250 in a motel room. From there, the city is yours to conquer.
**What you can do in Empire of Vice:**
🚗 **Explore an open city** — Drive through beaches, downtown streets, wealthy neighborhoods, and industrial harbors.
💰 **Build your empire** — Take control of eight districts, fight rival crime families, and invest in properties.
🔫 **Experience the action** — Story missions, shootouts, police pursuits, and turf wars.
🏎️ **Drive, race, and escape** — Cars, motorcycles, speedboats, jet skis, and even a helicopter.
📻 **Feel the 80s atmosphere** — Synthwave, Italo disco, neon nightlife, and three in-game radio stations.
🎮 **Play your way** — Keyboard and mouse or controller, on Windows and macOS.
**The game is currently in open beta and completely free to download.** No accounts, microtransactions, or complicated setup.
It's still a work in progress, and that's exactly why I'm sharing it with the Product Hunt community.
