I built Emoji x Emoji because I was obsessed with those tile-matching puzzle games but wanted something cleaner and more satisfying to play in the browser — no app install, no ads popping up every 10 seconds.
The rules are dead simple: tap tiles, stack them in the 7 slots at the bottom, match 3 to clear. But the strategy of which tile to tap next — that's where it gets addictive.
I spent a lot of time tuning the feel: the animations when tiles slide into slots, the satisfying "pop" when 3 match and disappear, and the balance between challenging and fair level design.
Two power-ups to help when you're stuck:
• Undo — because one wrong tap shouldn't ruin your run
• Shuffle — when the board looks impossible, mix it up
