Edith
An honest whole-book editor that never rewrites you
Edith reads your whole novel, up to 150,000 words, then gives you honest editorial notes from structure down to the line, one at a time. You keep every word: she suggests, she never rewrites. Coming soon. Join the waitlist and your first Editorial Review is free, normally $15.
Hi PH. I'm Kris. I built Edith for my wife, who self-publishes and kept hitting the same wall - a real editor was too expensive and too slow to run on every manuscript, and the existing tools either forgot the first half of the book by the end or quietly rewrote her words.
So Edith does the thing she actually missed. She reads the entire manuscript first, up to 150,000 words, and remembers all of it. Then she raises one note at a time, from the big structural questions down to the line, across six stages from a first read to a final proofread. You accept, reject, or push back on any note, and you make every change yourself. She suggests, she never writes a line of your book.
The part that took longest was the honesty. Early versions praised everything, which is useless, and it is the main complaint writers have about using AI on their work. Getting her to say "this subplot does not earn its ending" and then hold that position when you argue back was most of the build.

Everyone who signs up during launch week gets their first whole-book Editorial Review free, normally $15. I would genuinely love your honest read on the positioning, especially from anyone here who writes.

Who hunted Edith?
Edith was hunted by Kristoffer Petersson. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
