EdgeShaping Lite
GA4 can't see AI crawlers. This WordPress plugin can.
GA4 relies on JavaScript, so it mostly can't see AI crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and Perplexity visiting your site. EdgeShaping Lite logs AI bot visits at the PHP layer instead — no JS dependency — so you can see which bots read which pages, and when. - Dictionary-based AI bot detection - Dashboard with bot frequency ranking + most-visited pages - Full access log, CSV export - AHQG Matrix: cross AI visits with human search clicks (GSC) to spot pages AI loves that humans haven't found yet
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built this after noticing something odd in my own server logs:
AI crawlers were visiting my site ~9x more often than what GA4 was
reporting. GA4 just can't see most of this traffic — it depends on
JavaScript execution, and most AI bots don't run JS.
So I built EdgeShaping Lite to log AI bot visits at the PHP layer
instead. Install → activate → see your AI traffic immediately, no
config needed.
The AHQG Matrix feature (optional, needs Search Console) goes one
step further: it cross-references AI bot visits with human search
clicks, so you can spot pages AI is reading heavily that humans
haven't discovered yet (and the reverse).
Free and open on WordPress.org. Would love your feedback, especially
if you find bugs or have ideas for the bot dictionary (currently 65+
known AI agents).
