Echovault Digital Legacy

Leave more than memories, your journal creates your Avatar

EchoVault is a consent-first digital legacy app that lets you build an AI version of yourself from your own memories, voice and recorded experiences while you’re alive. Unlike generic AI companions, your Echo is grounded in what you actually left behind and refuses to invent memories it can’t support. You choose what to preserve, who can access it later, and can export your data anytime.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built EchoVault because I kept thinking about how much of a person disappears when they die, not just their photos and recordings, but their stories, memories, personality, and the way they saw the world. EchoVault lets you preserve those things while you’re alive and build an interactive Echo that your chosen custodians can access later. One design decision became especially important to me: the Echo should be able to say “I don’t know.” If something isn’t supported by what you actually left behind, it should refuse rather than manufacture a convincing fake memory. I don’t see this as digital immortality. The goal is simpler: make death less destructive to everything a person leaves behind. It’s now live on iOS, and I’d genuinely love feedback on the idea, the experience, and where you think this should go next. 🙏
